Puking, Painting & Parties.....

It's been a while since I've been on here, life has taken me on another roller coaster ride. There's been ups and downs, twists and turns and plenty of excitement. At least I can say there's been no vomit!

It's been a few days since I started this post and now I have to take back the "no vomit" statement. I'll get to an explanation of that in a bit. If you are my facebook friend, I apologize for the repeat vomit updates.

The kids started school on the 24th. Well, Andrew only went for one day and then had to finish up his OSS. He is almost completely finished with his sentence, all he has left to do is his last jury duty on the 21st and then they will rip up the documents and throw them all away leaving him with NO record. He returned to school on Wednesday only to be sent home halfway through the day. (This is due to the vomit that I will get to later). Other than having 2 weeks of homework to catch up on and a couple of honors classes, I think that he is pretty excited to be back in school. This year he plans on playing football, basketball, and track so it looks like I will be spending a lot of time at the middle school.

Amber is absolutely loving school. She's in the VPK program and attends school for 3 hours a day. I totally wish it was longer miss her so much while she is gone. It's quite lonely around here with both of them gone, but I have been able to get much more done around the house without them here.

Keith brought me home a new friend and her name is Freckles. She is so stinkin' cute but is driving me crazy with the whole house training thing. I have no patience... But at least Sasha now has a cuddle buddy!

We've been doing lots of painting on the house and someday soon I hope to have it finished so that we can do another home video tour. Don't worry, I will be here to film this one so it won't be so lame dorky quick.

I Stan got back.

Yes, he came back to me in a package of socks for Amber. Isn't that nice? Thanks MOM! I was able to get rid of him again though when my Sister came over for Labor Day.

We celebrated my brother Patrick's 25th birthday on Saturday. I am really starting to feel old now. He's a half a century and I'm almost 30. EEEEEK!

^Just a few of my siblings! I saw my Dad for the first time since the "incident" which was kinda awkward. Not much was said other than some "I Love You's" but, I guess that's a start?

I spent quite a few hours in the ER on Sunday with Amber because the cold that she had developed on Friday had gotten much worse and I was scared that she may have developed pink eye. Her eyes were all red and gunky.

This picture doesn't even begin to explain what her eyes really looked like. Diagnosis = Upper Respiratory Infection + No Pink Eye. Whew! So, Nichole and the twins came to spend the night (as we had previously planned before the ER visit). The next day we had a small get together for Labor Day. Good times!

On to the vomitus.....I told you I would get to it. ***Possibly TMI below***BEWARE***
Tuesday morning, Keith woke up to go to work and found that he was incredibly sick. Whatever it was, it was pouring coming out of his body like water but from both ends.... At lunchtime I got a call telling me to come and pick up Andrew as he had been throwing up in school. He ended up having the same problems as Keith and this lasted all night long. According to my favorite website (facebook) I noticed that Nichole also started having these problems Tuesday night. Then, on Wednesday my sister joined the vomiting crew. At first we thought it might be food poisoning because everyone that was sick had been at my house on Monday. Then, my sister-in-law got it too (and she wasn't at the party). Whatever it was, it was BAD! I made Keith & Andrew take shots of apple cider vinegar which seemed to help calm their stomachs. Andrew was able to return to school yesterday and Keith returned to work today. As far as I know, everyone is back to normal now. I am so happy that I didn't catch this one!

Lucy made me do it....

Lucy was generous bestow upon me the Premiere Meme Award. Thank you Lucy! Though next time you could always give me an easier award. This one was kinda hard! ;-)

The Guidelines

You must divulge Seven Personality Traits about yourself and Pay it Forward to Seven Bloggers.

1. Moody/Emotional - It doesn't take much to make me happy or piss me off. Either way, you will know exactly how I am feeling. I wear my heart on my sleeve. I cry over the dumbest things and will get mad and scream at my own television.

2. Bashful - I am extremely shy around people that I don't know very well. There are people that I have known for years that will come over to visit my husband and I may say 10 words to them. I would much rather just sit and listen. Yep, I am a wallflower.

3. Obsessively Organized - My CD's HAVE to be in alphabetical order or I freak out. My closet is organized by type of clothing and by color. My craft stuff is the same way. You should see the pantry in my kitchen, everything has a place and you better not put it in the wrong place (see #1). My entire life is on Google Calendar and my phone calendar. I also get reminders sent to me by text message just in case I forget to check both calendars. Did I mention there is also one on the fridge?

4. Obnoxious - If I'm not being shy, I can be very loud and obnoxious. I drive down the street hanging Stan out the window. I will yell to my Mom from the other side of the store letting her know that I found the tampons. I throw fake cockroaches at my sons friends in the store and think it's great that I'm embarrassing him. For some reason, I can think of tons of stuff to put on this one.....

5. Kind-Hearted - I will do anything to help someone in need. I hate to see anyone hurting or without and will do whatever I can to make it better. AC broke = I have a window shaker - Homeless = Come stay with me - Broke = Here's my last dollar....

6. Creative - I'm creative in many ways. I love doing crafts, all kinds. I love writing poetry (that I am not gonna share with anyone). I am having a hard time describing how I'm creative but trust me, I am.

7. Thrifty - I am a bargain shopper. I refuse to pay full price for anything. Don't throw that away, we can always find another use for it. Coupons - Nah I don't usually go that far.

Now, I'm supposed to pass this on to 7 bloggers. Some of these are new blogs that I just started reading (and haven't added to my blogroll yet because I totally suck) and some I've been reading for quite some time. Go check them out and tell 'em congrats on their awards :)

1. The Fox Den
2. Show My Face
3. Irrational Dad
4. All In A Mom's Life
5. Just Jingle
6. K..Is Not Your Average Girl
7. A Wonderful Mistake (she's also my sister)

Friday Favorites #6

It's Friday Favorites time!

Oh yes it's time to pay homage to all the things that got us through
the week, and give credit where credit is due!

I have missed a whole bunch of Friday Favorites in my absence, but I am back and even though this week has been hell, there are some things to be thankful for. Here are my Friday Favorites this week....

My
friends- You know who YOU are. If it wasn't for you, I don't know how I would have gotten through this last week. Thank you for being there when I needed you.

90's Music - If I am feeling down, all I have to do is turn on some 90's and I'm bobbin my head and singing along!

The Red Velvet Art girls - They are such an inspiration!

My friends & family. Thank you for making my birthday special.

I'm not sure if Janna Bee is still doing the Friday Favorite's right now, but head on over to her blog and say hello anyway!

Silly Hookers In The Rain pt. 2

.....continued from this post.

The last stop of our rain filled hooker-photoshoot was in some random cow pasture. Photoshoot was briefly interrupted when someone pulled me out of a window and then landed on top of me. I was still pulling glass out of my elbow days later.... Then there was the half naked man that came out of no where and told us we could stay there but not to disturb the cows. <<<Creepy! All in all, we had fun and got some good shots!

Fun times!

Silly Hookers In The Rain

We aren't hookers but we are definitely silly, and some people probably thought that we were hookers! At the end of this post I told you that there were 2 more postworthy days in Orlando. This is one of them.

First stop, Lollicup for Bubble Tea. Don't know what Bubble Tea is? I didn't either. My favorite crafter Elsie Flannigan talks about it all the time, so Kelly & I decided to give it a try.

Kelly wasn't too fond of the Bubble Tea, but it is something that I definitely want to try again. Unfortunately, they don't have any local that I have found yet :(

Next Stop: Lake Eola Park (aka Lake Areola) where we danced in the rain.....

Next Stop: Random Cow Pasture - See next post.....
