Sooey......

Fortunately, I do NOT look anything like the above picture. Unfortunately, I DO have swine flu. So do both of the kids. Not fun. This is why I have been MIA lately. They say we are over the worst part and should start feeling better soon. I'm waiting. Patiently.

Tomorrow is October 1st. This means that it's the start of the Blogging for Boobs Breast Bash. I am super excited about this! We have lots of guest posts and giveaways coming up next month all to raise money for breast cancer. If your blog will be going "pink" in October, please let me know and I will post a link in my sidebar.

See you tomorrow!

That's what she said...Or did she?

I don't know if this is a common problem, or if everyone I know just has hearing issues. Lately, I've noticed quite a few conversations that have made me LOL. Here are a couple of them:

~I was trying to explain to Keith (who was on his way home from work)
that the garbage can was still in front of the house. He had been upset
with Andrew for leaving it out there all the time, and Andrew stayed
after school so he wasn't home to bring it around back yet. I didn't
want him to get all mad when he pulled up and saw it~
Me: The garbage is still in front of the house
Keith: Oh my GOD! Who's in the hospital?
Me: *Laughs*
Keith: It's not funny. WHO IS IN THE HOSPITAL?

~Talking to my sister about where we should go school shopping for the kids~
Kelly: Skip Kohl's
Me: Did you just call me a shithole?

~My sister randomly makes a face at my mom~
Kelly: That's my pretty face
Mom: That's your briefcase?
Kelly & Me: *Laughs*
Mom: What's so funny? I don't get it.

Now that I typed that up, it doesn't seem as funny. Guess it was one of those "you had to be there" funnies. Oh well.

Remember when Amber was in time out for her potty mouth? She's been doing ok as far as using cuss words go, but sometimes she just says the most hilarious things.

***I'm using the bathroom and Amber comes in and starts doing these weird lunges.
Amber: Look. I'm exercising. You need to do that so your fat belly will go away.
Me: Excuse me? I don't have a fat belly.
Amber: Oh yeah. I forgot, you have a fat butt.
She then turns around and wiggles her rear right at me.

***Amber is feeding the dogs and I am eating lunch on the other side of the kitchen.
Amber: Mom, I farted and it didn't work
Me: What do you mean it didn't work? You tried to fart and it didn't come out?
Amber: No, it just didn't work.
Me: Do you have to poop?
Amber: No, but it feels funny.
She proceeds to waddle over to me so I can check it out. Yep, she didn't fart. She SHARTED. You know, shit/farted.

***Amber has some sort of rash on her face
Me: What are all these red bumps on your face?
Amber: They're nipples just like Andrews. (she meant pimples)

***Out of nowhere
Amber: Today is a Special Day!
Keith: It is? What's so special about today?
Amber: I'm going to be good today. Isn't that special Daddy?

The weight of a woman

I went to the grocery store with Keith the other night. As soon as you walk in, there is a scale that taunts me I always have to stop and weigh myself on (so that I remember not to buy junk food) Which never sometimes rarely works. Anyway, as I was weighing myself I made Keith hold my purse. He couldn't believe how heavy it was and wanted to know if I was carrying any bricks. I wasn't, but I do have quite a few things in my purse (that I totally need!). After weighing myself, we weighed my purse and it was almost 6 pounds.

My new purse from Rue 21. LOVE it!

1. Degree-Pure Satin: Living in Florida, I keep my deodorant with me. Can't have no stinky pits!
2. Wallet: Carries the necessities like my Spencer's Wild and Crazy Card. Can't leave home without it!
3. Pepperoni flavored Slim Jim: Has been eaten since this photo was taken
4. Hip Butterfly Sunglass Case: Gotta protect the shades!
5. Mirror Compact (another Rue 21 purchase): Gotta rock the 80's look a little bit!
6. Glidden paint sticker: Because I will not stop painting until the whole house is done.
7. 7: Found this on the ground outside the bar and just had to pick it up. Why? No clue.
8. Cutie Boutique pop-up brush: Because Teenie's always gotta look her best.
9. Ms. Manicure emery boards: Been carrying these around in my purse for years. 2 outta 12 are missing so I'm sure I will have them a few more years.
10 & 11. Checkbooks: Aren't the covers adorable? Etsy, folks. Etsy. Or you can always buy some from me!
12. 2010 Planner: Because if I don't put it in my purse when I buy it, I will forget.
13. Tampon purse: Pretty self explanatory
14. Staples Locker Calculator: Because it's pink and cute.

1. Bonnebell Lip d'Votion: Gotta have shiny lips!
2. Vistaprint family pen: Again, it's cute.
3. CO Bigelow Cinnamint Mentha Lip Shine: Good smelling shiny lips....
4. Avon lip radiance: Sparkly shiny lips....
5. The name rubbed off: more shiny lips
6. Yep, that's just a plain old pen
7. Bath & Body Works Japanese Cherry Blossom Perfume: Because it's my favorite.

While typing this, I noticed that some very important things are missing. Now, I am too lazy to go and take photos so if I can't find them on flicker you will have to imagine.

1. Motorola Hint: My crappy cell phone
2. Juicy zipper pouch: I keep my camera and extra batteries in it.
3. Lime green sock (w monkey's on it) change purse: Well, it's for change. Duh

4. My Ipod: Gotta have the tunes!

What's in your purse?

Rain, Rain, Go Away!

It's raining, it's pouring, and I HATE it! Yes, rain can be fun at times. But it usually puts me in a rotten mood. And if you know me, you know that I am in a rotten mood plenty enough that I don't need any rain to help me with that.

See that^ It's a camping picture from 2007 when just the four of us went to Ocala to go camping. We spent many hours days in. our. van. Well, I did at least.

The kids & Keith, they were a little braver than me and ventured out into the nastiness. I did manage to get some cute pics of them though!
I love how they were trying to start a fire.... In.the.rain. You can even see that Andrew is hiding newspapers under his shirt so they don't get wet. In.the.rain. FYI - the fire never stayed lit until the last day when the sun finally came out.

Blogging for Boobs Breast Bash

October is Breast Cancer awareness month and I am looking to raise awareness and money for this great cause. I have already found numerous etsy shops that are willing to donate prizes as giveaways during the month to get more people to visit my blog and donate!

I will be putting links in my sidebar that will allow visitors to donate to Susan G Komen and hopefully to Keep a Breast.

I am looking to have some guest bloggers leave posts about their own interaction with this disease. Whether it's about surviving, losing a loved one, informational, poems, etc. Anything breast cancer related. If you can be of help or know someone that can, please pass this email on to them.

Please let me know if you can help by being a guest blogger. Just send me an email: tinaalldredge@gmail.com Please be sure to put Blogging for Boobs Breast Bash in the subject line!

Thank you so much!

Puking, Painting & Parties.....

It's been a while since I've been on here, life has taken me on another roller coaster ride. There's been ups and downs, twists and turns and plenty of excitement. At least I can say there's been no vomit!

It's been a few days since I started this post and now I have to take back the "no vomit" statement. I'll get to an explanation of that in a bit. If you are my facebook friend, I apologize for the repeat vomit updates.

The kids started school on the 24th. Well, Andrew only went for one day and then had to finish up his OSS. He is almost completely finished with his sentence, all he has left to do is his last jury duty on the 21st and then they will rip up the documents and throw them all away leaving him with NO record. He returned to school on Wednesday only to be sent home halfway through the day. (This is due to the vomit that I will get to later). Other than having 2 weeks of homework to catch up on and a couple of honors classes, I think that he is pretty excited to be back in school. This year he plans on playing football, basketball, and track so it looks like I will be spending a lot of time at the middle school.

Amber is absolutely loving school. She's in the VPK program and attends school for 3 hours a day. I totally wish it was longer miss her so much while she is gone. It's quite lonely around here with both of them gone, but I have been able to get much more done around the house without them here.

Keith brought me home a new friend and her name is Freckles. She is so stinkin' cute but is driving me crazy with the whole house training thing. I have no patience... But at least Sasha now has a cuddle buddy!

We've been doing lots of painting on the house and someday soon I hope to have it finished so that we can do another home video tour. Don't worry, I will be here to film this one so it won't be so lame dorky quick.

I Stan got back.

Yes, he came back to me in a package of socks for Amber. Isn't that nice? Thanks MOM! I was able to get rid of him again though when my Sister came over for Labor Day.

We celebrated my brother Patrick's 25th birthday on Saturday. I am really starting to feel old now. He's a half a century and I'm almost 30. EEEEEK!

          Kelly           Me     Patrick          Katelyn
^Just a few of my siblings! I saw my Dad for the first time since the "incident" which was kinda awkward. Not much was said other than some "I Love You's" but, I guess that's a start?

I spent quite a few hours in the ER on Sunday with Amber because the cold that she had developed on Friday had gotten much worse and I was scared that she may have developed pink eye. Her eyes were all red and gunky.

This picture doesn't even begin to explain what her eyes really looked like. Diagnosis = Upper Respiratory Infection + No Pink Eye. Whew! So, Nichole and the twins came to spend the night (as we had previously planned before the ER visit). The next day we had a small get together for Labor Day. Good times!

On to the vomitus.....I told you I would get to it. ***Possibly TMI below***BEWARE***
Tuesday morning, Keith woke up to go to work and found that he was incredibly sick. Whatever it was, it was pouring coming out of his body like water but from both ends.... At lunchtime I got a call telling me to come and pick up Andrew as he had been throwing up in school. He ended up having the same problems as Keith and this lasted all night long. According to my favorite website (facebook) I noticed that Nichole also started having these problems Tuesday night. Then, on Wednesday my sister joined the vomiting crew. At first we thought it might be food poisoning because everyone that was sick had been at my house on Monday. Then, my sister-in-law got it too (and she wasn't at the party). Whatever it was, it was BAD! I made Keith & Andrew take shots of apple cider vinegar which seemed to help calm their stomachs. Andrew was able to return to school yesterday and Keith returned to work today. As far as I know, everyone is back to normal now. I am so happy that I didn't catch this one!
